Server Downtime - RESOLVED

*UPDATE* Everything is back up now, so we’ll begin verifying everyone’s activity.  There are a few stories in the queue, so stay tuned.

subvertandprofit.com is currently not functional due to our server going down. We have contacted our host and things should be back to normal within a few hours.

Since we’ve started off on shared webhosting, we’ve been prone to downtime of our Ruby on Rails server. Unfortunately few shared webhosts know how to configure their servers properly to keep Ruby going. We’ll be switching to our very own dedicated server once we have enough money (should be soon, if today’s success is any measure).

Fortunately we finished off a set of advertisements before the server died. Operation will begin normally as soon as we’re up again.

  5. Is there a link we can use to reffer other people? ww.blah.com/refer?myusername ?
That would make things much easier to link on a blog for example.

  7. Mgccl,

The blog is PHP but the rest of the site is Ruby.

    fanboi,

You’ll see it soon. We were waiting to verify our user activity in bulk, and then the server went down. We’re doing it now.

    me,

We’re going to implement that feature over the next few weeks.

  9. Sorry but I dugg 5 notices yesterday and my Social networker transactions say: You earned $0.50 21 minutes ago.

    Only 0.50? :(

  10. bjbs on April 26th, 2007
  11. I just found out I’m only getting $0.75 for 5 digg
    O.o
ok… so that means all other money goes to subvert…
Come on… we should get at least 1/5 of the cake… :)

  13. bjbs and Mgccl,

We hide the paid Digg in a list of random other stories. This prevents you from being banned from Digg. We do not get money for the random stories, so our users are getting 1/2 or 3/4 of “the cake.”

If you want more easy money you could always refer your friends. You get 20% of everything they earn.

  19. Everything looks great so far, I’ve already got $1.50.

  21. Rekzai,
You should have just skipped over the diggs and they would have disappered after an hour or so, while your next batch was waiting to come up.
